Terms & Conditions for Forest Bathing & Qigong Events
Activities in the outdoors and that involve exercise have their own potential hazards & risks that can lead to harm/injury, both material & personal, to 3rd parties & yourself.
Injury can result from falls, slips, trips, exposure to very low & high temperatures, insect bites, attacks from animals etc. Outdoor sessions can involve uneven paths, declines & inclines & other physical hazards of this type. Events do go off the main paths & there may be water & mud present.
Sessions are held in areas that are open to the general public who may be present or walking in the same areas as the event. Dogs both on & off the lead can also be present.
Wuji Wellbeing UK would ask you to ensure that if you are joining a Qigong class that you have space to move free of and unobstructed by any potential hazards. You will be moving your arms and need space to be able to do this.
Although Journeys in Nature & Wuji Wellbeing endeavour to minimise these risks, they cannot be eliminated entirely & they cannot totally control all the factors involved. It is the attendees responsibility to ensure that they have sufficient and safe space to exercise and take responsibility for their own safety. If you struggle with balance, you are advised to have a chair handy that you can use for support or to rest on if required (for the Qigong element of the event).
Please only attend if you feel well.
If you have any concerns about your capacity to safely participate in Qigong and/or Forest Bathing then please inform the instructor and visit your GP for their opinion prior to joining us. If you have not checked with your doctor, you have agreed that you are participating at your own risk.
Unfortunately, the Qigong element is not suitable if you are currently undergoing treatment for cancer, or if you are, or could be pregnant. (If recently completed treatment for cancer please consult your medical team after completing treatment for advice on when you can return safely to qigong practice).
If you have already booked onto the event and you are undergoing treatment for cancer or are pregnant, or could be pregnant, please email Nicky at Wuji Wellbeing at nicky@wujiwellbeing.com and you will receive a full refund (minus any credit/debit card charges).
Participants should always exercise within their own limitations. If you feel suddenly unwell during the session, or experience a pain which is new, please stop and inform the instructor immediately and seek medical attention.
If you are managing a long-term health condition please ensure that this is stable and that you bring any rescue medication with you (e.g. GTN spray / inhaler / epipen) so that you can access it if required).
By booking and attending an event by Journeys in Nature & Wuji Wellbeing you are agreeing to the following & declaring that:
· Any long-term condition you are managing is stable.
· You have informed the instructor of any relevant health conditions, recent injuries or surgeries.
· You will bring any rescue medication with you, so it is accessible if needed.
· You have informed the instructor if you have a significant mental health condition as this particular class may not be suitable for you.
· You have notified your instructor of any medical alerts that you have.
